- Concealed carry
- Eligible people can carry concealed without a license. Florida also issues optional concealed-weapon licenses.
- Open carry
- Open handgun carry is generally allowed without a carry permit for eligible people. Location, age and other restrictions still apply.
- Police stops
- You do not generally have to announce that you are carrying. A person carrying concealed without a license must carry valid identification and display it on an officer's demand.
- License eligibility
- Florida accepts concealed-weapon license applications from eligible people aged 18 and older. Buying a firearm and carrying without a license have separate age rules.
