- Local governments can restrict open carry by people without a recognized permit. Check the local ordinance before open carrying.
- Police stops
- You do not generally have to announce that you are carrying. A licensee must carry the required permit and identification and display the applicable documents on an officer's lawful demand; consult the state guide for exceptions.
