Permitless concealed carryEligibility and location restrictions apply.
- Concealed carry
- Eligible people can carry concealed without a permit. Optional permits are available.
- Open carry
- The unloaded-handgun limit has exceptions for valid license holders and people eligible for a class 2 license who possess the required state or territory identification. Check section 62.1-03-01 for the complete conditions.
- Police stops
- When carrying without a permit under section 62.1-04-02(2), disclose the concealed firearm if an officer inquires. Carry the required identification and provide it on request; license holders must produce their license on request.
