The Short Version

When you click a product link on DOPE and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra. That commission is how we keep DOPE free — no paywall, no selling your data, no ads following you around the internet.

How It Works

DOPE participates in the AvantLink affiliate network. Product links on our Deals, Ammo Tracker, Price Finder, Value Estimator, and Reviews pages — as well as links inside our guides — are affiliate links. When you click one and make a qualifying purchase at the retailer, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to the retailer directly.

What Commissions Never Change

• Rankings are data-driven. Deals are ranked by verified price drops. Ammo Tracker rankings are computed from cost-per-round. Price Finder results are sorted by price and relevance. No retailer can pay to move up.
• D.O.P.E. Scores are independent. Review scores are aggregated from real-world sources and are not influenced by whether a merchant pays us, or how much.
• We show the best price we find — whether or not that retailer pays us a commission.

What We Don't Do

• We do not accept payment for better placement in rankings, scores, or price comparisons
• We do not write fake reviews or invent "deals" that aren't real price drops
• We do not charge you anything, ever

Sponsored Placements

If we ever run clearly-labeled sponsored placements (for example, a featured merchant spotlight), they will be marked as sponsored and will never affect search rankings, deal rankings, price comparisons, or D.O.P.E. Scores.
