• Location Data (Range Finder only): When you use the Range Finder tool, your browser may request your geographic location to find nearby ranges, FFLs, and gun shops. This location data is processed entirely on the client side (in your browser) and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Cookies: We use a single cookie (dope_age_verified) to remember that you have confirmed your age. This cookie expires after 30 days and contains no personal information.
• Newsletter Email: If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. This is stored securely through Netlify Forms and is used solely for sending our newsletter.
• Community Accounts: If you create an account for The Armory community forum, your account information is managed through Netlify Identity. We do not share this data with third parties.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require user accounts to access our tools (except the community forum)
• We do not collect payment information or process transactions
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties
• We do not build user profiles or track individual browsing behavior
• We do not use fingerprinting or invasive tracking technologies

Affiliate Links & Third-Party Retailers

DOPE participates in the AvantLink affiliate program. When you click on product links throughout our site (including Deals, Price Finder, Value Estimator, and Reviews pages), these links may direct you to third-party retailer websites. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links at no additional cost to you.

Once you leave our site via an affiliate link, the third-party retailer's privacy policy governs any data collected during your visit to their site. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before making a purchase.

Analytics & Tracking

DOPE does not currently use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics tracking services. We may implement privacy-respecting analytics in the future, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

Location Data

The Range Finder tool may request access to your device's geolocation through your browser's built-in location API. This is entirely optional, and you can deny the request or enter a location manually. When granted:

• Your coordinates are used only in your browser to calculate distances to nearby ranges and FFLs
• Your location is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere
• Your location is never shared with third parties
• You can revoke location access at any time through your browser settings

Cookies

We use one cookie on this site:

• dope_age_verified: Stores your age verification confirmation. Expires after 30 days. Contains only the value "true" and no personal information.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party cookies.

Data Security

Our site is served over HTTPS, and we use Netlify's infrastructure for hosting and form handling. Since we collect minimal data, the risk surface is inherently small. We do not maintain databases of personal user information beyond newsletter subscriptions and community accounts.

Children's Privacy

DOPE is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Our age verification gate is designed to prevent access by individuals under 18 years of age.
